柏彦交叉论坛(第六期):仿生科学论坛圆满举办

2023年5月24日,柏彦交叉论坛(第六期)仿生科学论坛在柏彦大厦6层学术报告厅成功举办。本次论坛由国际交叉科学研究院仿生科学研究中心承办,威兹曼科学研究所与宾夕法尼亚大学协办。来自美国、以色列和国内相关研究所的5名专家学者带来了精彩的学术报告,围绕仿生科学前沿理论与技术进行交流分享。

The 6th Baiyan X Forum Bionic Science Forum was hosted in the Academic Lecture Hall on the 6th floor of the Baiyan Building on May 24, 2023. The forum was organized by the Research Center for Bio-Inspired Science of the International Research Institute of Multidisciplinary Science (IRI) in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science and the University of Pennsylvania. Five distinguished scholars from research institutes in the United States, Israel, and China delivered exceptional academic presentations, exchanging and sharing cutting-edge theories and technologies in the realm of biomimetics science.

北航化学学院刘明杰院长主持本次论坛,校长助理、科研院杨立军院长,人力资源部张义部长出席并致辞。国交院赵老师介绍北航国交院和柏彦交叉论坛基本情况,30余位相关领域研究人员以线上、线下相结合的形式参会。国交院常务副院长陶飞、副院长孔娟出席了会议。

Liu Mingjie, Dean of the School of Chemistry, presided over the Forum. Yang Lijun, the Assistant Principal and Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology, and Zhang Yi from the Human Resource Department participated in the conference and delivered a speech. Ms. Zhao from the IRI provided a succinct overview of the Institute and the Forum. Over 30 researchers in related fields participated in the conference, either in person or remotely. The Executive Vice Dean of the IRI, Fei Tao, and Vice Dean of the IRI, Juan Kong, were present at the conference.

柏彦交叉论坛是为响应国家“聚焦未来可能产生变革性技术的基础科学领域,强化重大原创性研究和前沿交叉研究”、 “加快建设世界重要人才中心和创新高地”精神,搭建面向全球学科前沿与交叉学科的国际化创新交流平台,旨在汇聚全球智慧大脑,引育高端人才,孕育交叉学科新兴方向,培养新的学科增长点。

The Bai Yan X Forum was established with the purpose of responding to the call for "focusing on basic sciences that may lead to revolutionary technologies in the future, strengthening major original research and cutting-edge cross-research," and "accelerating the construction of the world's significant talent pool for innovation" and to establish an international innovation exchange platform for global disciplinary frontiers and cross-disciplines. Its objective is to gather global intelligence, attract high-end professionals, drive innovation in cross-discipline areas, and foster growth in new disciplinary areas.

论坛伊始,北京航空航天大学校长助理、科研院杨立军院长致辞,他表示,自2022年3月北航国际交叉科学研究院进入实体化运行后,国交院联合学校人力资源部等多部门共同搭建了面向全球学科前沿与交叉学科的国际化平台,即柏彦交叉论坛。本次论坛是柏彦交叉论坛的第六期,以仿生科学为主题,主要探讨了仿生限域界面物质合成、仿生能量转化与传输、仿生机器人等仿生科学前沿理论,旨在催生新兴交叉学科,丰富和发展仿生学科体系。

At the outset of the forum, Yang Lijun, the Assistant President of Beihang University and President of the Scientific Research Institute, stated that the IRI, in collaboration with the Department of Human Resources and others, has established the Baiyan X Forum, a global platform for multidisciplinary fields, since its establishment in March 2022. The 6th Baiyan X Forum, with the theme of bionic science, primarily focused on cutting-edge theories of bionic science and encompasses topics such as bionic limited-domain interface material synthesis, bionic energy conversion and transmission, and bionic robots, with the aim of promoting new interdisciplinary activities and enriching and developing bionic disciplines.

北京航空航天大学人力资源部张义部长也发表了讲话。他表示,所谓大学者,非谓有大楼之谓也,有大师之谓也。北航国际交叉科学研究院是北航响应国家号召,为汇聚引进全世界先进人才而建设的阵地,旨在吸引、发现和培养更多优秀人才,激发新兴学科增长点。今后学校将在资源配置、人才引进等各个方面大力支持国交院的发展。希望各界专家学者能够通过柏彦交叉论坛,碰撞思想,交流学术,互相启发,打破学科界限,同时寻找未来合作机会。

The Minister of Human Resources at Beihang University, Zhang Yi, delivered a speech as well. He stated that what distinguishes a university is not the vast buildings, but the quality of its instructors. In the future, Beihang University will actively support the development of the IRI in various aspects such as resource allocation and talent introduction. It is hoped that experts and scholars from diverse fields to come together, exchange ideas, share academic knowledge, and foster multidisciplinary collaboration through the Baiyan X Forum.

随后,欧洲科学院院士、以色列科学院院士、魏兹曼科学院JacobKlein教授介绍了他的团队对水分子和磷脂分子在纳米限域和电场作用条件下的物理化学性质变化的研究工作,并介绍了这些物理化学性质的变化所带来的潜在应用。国家优秀青年科学基金获得者北京航空航天大学机械学院的文力教授阐述了自然界生物的材料、结构、形态学物理智能特征及其原理, 介绍了软体机器人实现仿生物理智能的目的及相关的关键技术与方法, 并列举了软体机器人仿生物理智能的典型应用, 最后展望了软体机器人仿生物理智能的未来发展及挑战(深水操作)。海外高层次青年人才项目获得者北京航空航天大学化学学院的林伟锋教授为我们介绍了关节润滑的机理,并在此基础设计制备的仿生自润滑水凝胶以及仿生润滑剂在骨关节炎治疗中的潜在应用。海外高层次青年人才项目获得者北京航空航天大学化学学院的李景教授为我们介绍了他在低维纳米材料的表界面结构研究,致力于通过电化学插层法解决低维材料的高质量制备和表面结构的化学调控问题,并开展了其在光电器件、电化学催化等领域的应用探索的应用。还有来自海外宾夕法尼亚大学材料科学与工程系博士后刘明珠博士,重点介绍了他在可调结构色的液晶微液滴的设计和应用开发的最新研究。

Professor Jacob Klein, the academician of the European Academy of Sciences, the academician of the Israeli Academy of Sciences, and professor of the Weizmann Academy of Sciences, later introduced his team's research work on the changes in the physical and chemical properties of water molecules and phospholipids molecules under the conditions of nanometer confinement and electric field, highlighting the potential applications brought about by these changes in physical and chemical properties. Professor Wen Li of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Beihang University, a recipient of the National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists, provided a comprehensive explanation of the physical intelligence characteristics and principles of biological materials, structures, and morphology of nature. He elucidated the purpose of soft robots to achieve bionic physical intelligence and related key technologies and methods, and listed the typical applications of soft robots' bionic physical intelligence. Finally, he expressed interest in the future developments and challenges of soft robots with bionic physical intelligence (deep water operation). Professor Lin Weifeng from the School of Chemistry at Beihang University, who was awarded the Distinguished Overseas Young Talents, introduced the mechanism of joint lubrication and the bionic self-lubricating hydrogel , as well as its potential applications in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Professor Li Jing from the School of Chemistry at Beihang University, honored with the Distinguished Overseas Young Talents award, presented his research on the surface and interface structure of low-dimensional nanomaterials, dedicated to solving the preparation of low-dimensional materials and the chemical control of surface structures through electrochemical intercalation. He also delved into its applications in diverse fields such as photoelectric devices, electrochemical catalysis, among others. Dr. Liu Mingzhu, a postdoctoral fellow from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, specializes in his latest research on the design and application development of liquid crystal droplets with adjustable structural colors.

每场报告后,听众反响热烈,专家们与在场听众们进行了深入的交流、讨论,专家们以其独特而深刻的见解热情地回答了在场听众的问题。本次论坛促进了仿生科学的学术交流,展现了科技工作者在科技发展中的创新活力。最后,北航化学学院的刘明杰教授总结到通过大家积极交流,共享知识成果、经验,各种思想认识在相互交流、启迪与相互震荡中迸发出创新的火花,促进了不同学科交叉融合,推进我国仿生科学发展并在高效合成、生物医用和军工技术上的应用,为我国解决核心需求背后的核心科学问题作出贡献。

Following each presentation, the experts engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with the audience, who were enthusiastic participants in the Forum. The experts responded to the questions posed by the audience with their unique and profound insights. This Forum served as a platform for academic collaborations between bionic science and demonstrated the innovative contributions of scientific and technological professionals. Professor Liu Mingjie of the School of Chemistry at Beihang University has concluded that through the exchange of knowledge, various ideas have been generated through mutual communication, promoting the integration of different disciplines, encouraging the development of bionic science in China and its application in efficient synthesis, biomedical and military technology, and contributing to the solution of core scientific problems.
